New members are always welcome at Strathclyde Loch Sailing Club, whether you are a complete novice or an experienced dinghy sailor. We can also offer reasonably priced boat and trailer storage to our members.

Our membership year runs from April to March but we have discounted rates for anyone joining late in the year.

Insurance

Details of the Club’s Data Privacy Policy are available from the Club Secretary secretary@strathclydelochsailing.com. Your Contact Details will be added to the Club’s Membership List and used for Club purposes only. All contact information or images will be held securely. Details of the Club’s Child Protection and governance processes are available from the Club Secretary. I declare that any boat I store in the Compound, sail at any time on the Loch or in a Club event, will be fully insured for my use, including racing use, for third party claims with a minimum cover of £3,000,000. Boat Storage Conditions

Boat Storage can only be offered to fully paid-up club members. Users of the Dinghy Compound must note that for practical and operational reasons the compound will on occasions be open for entry by other members of the public and other boat users. In this circumstance, neither Strathclyde Loch Sailing Club nor North Lanarkshire Council can accept any liability for loss or damage to your property howsoever caused. Strathclyde Loch Sailing Club does not accept any liability for boats or contents in the compound. Boats left in the compound must carry third party insurance as per the membership agreement. This is to the value of £3,000,000 at present time. Boats must be secured in allocated spaces to prevent damage in the event of inclement weather. When a boat storage space is first allocated an immediate payment will be due for the number of days remaining in that quarter, as a fraction of the quarterly fee. Quarterly payments are due on the first of the month which starts each quarter, the quarters being January, April, July and October. These will be collected by Standing Order where possible. Anyone removing their boat from the compound must inform the Bosun, bosun@strathclydelochsailing.com or Wilson on 07899942822. The committee reserves the right to alter these conditions as required.
